If you are the one who aspires for a quick makeover of your room then this article is intended for you only without breaking the family budget. 1.CLEAN: The first and foremost is look out for any thing which might be disturbing the look of the room like newspapers, magazines, books, toys, shoes, clothes, etc. Find or create new storage spaces for these items. Give your textile and upholstered furniture a good vacuuming. Strip off all your ornamental figurines and give each piece a thorough cleaning.

2. FOCAL POINT: Every room should have an focal point which is the most attractive one, in case if your room is lacking a focal point, try painting one wall in a different, but coordinating color, that supplements the rest of your room and furnishings. The newly painted wall will instantly become the focal point of the room. Beautify the wall with attention-grabbing art work or a huge sumptuously framed mirror. Place a preferred piece of furniture against the new focal point wall to complete the look. If your room already has a nice focal point, consider giving the entire room a fresh new coat of paint. \

3. REARRANGE THE FURNITURE: Try fitting your furniture differently and place your furnishings at appealing angles in front of your focal point to generate an friendly tête-à-tête area. You should opt for placing the sofa on the diagonal just in case if your room is narrow, that will make the room appear wider.

4. REARRANGE THE RUG: Place your area rug to your newly arranged conversation area. If you have wall-to-wall carpeting, try layering a complimentary area rug in your conversation area.

5. ADD GREENERY: Plants always add to the beauty of room, so if greenery is missing in your room then try using plants of varying heights and species for interest. Keep your plants in good health and well trimmed. Go in for good quality silk greenery especially if you have kids or pets around.

6. BUY SOME NEW LAMPS: Go to the market and purchase some trendy unique, interesting lamps that will make a bold statement and relate to the personality of your room. Look for lighting with three-way switches as old lamps give your room look more obsolete and out of date look.

 7. ADD PERSONALITY AND ACCESSORIES: You could hang appealing artwork, mirrors or architectural pieces that imitates your personality and also you can add that personal touch by placing your favorite family photographs by treating them to a new frame. Purchase some bright colored cushions and decorative pillows to give life to your old sofas. This is an easy way to add color and texture to your room. Create vignettes with your freshly cleaned collectibles. Group them in odd numbers at varying heights. You could also use hardbound books in stacks, or varied decorative boxes, to help with varying the heights.

Surely with little bit of thoughts and inventiveness, you can turn your “stressed out” home décor into a brand new, exhilarating new space.
